Designed for use in the field, the FR-AV2 is constructed with lightweight fiberglass and outfitted with a 2-inch LCD display. This makes it easy to get a session overview outdoors, and keep an eye on your levels and battery time.

In addition, the FR-AV2 functions as a 2×2 USB-C audio interface for desktop and mobile devices and offers timecode I/O, timecode generation, and jam-sync functionality, allowing for accurate video sync.

With the built-in low-cut filter, limiter, noise-gate, and compressor, you can ensure your audio is being recorded at optimal. Meanwhile, the FR-AV2 allows up to 192 kHz recording onto SDXC cards of up to 512GB.

In use, the unit runs on 3 x AA batteries or USB bus power and offers both input and output delay compensation of up to 300 ms. With the optional AK-BT2 Bluetooth adapter and the free TASCAM Recorder Connect app, you can control multiple FR-AV2 recorders via Android, iOS, and iPadOS.

    Dear Tascam,
    Why does it have to be analogue input only when it’s a digital recorder?!
    Please, please make one of these where the XLR input can also switch mode to AES/EBU input.
