2HP Vowel – Crazy talking formant oscillating speech synthesizer
2HP have snuck out another diminutive module, this one has a big mouth. The 2HP Vowel is a speech synthesis and formant oscillator and it will speak its own mind.

I’m not sure it can really talk but it does synthesis something approximating the human by generating vowel sounds. It can go low, it can go high, it can boom and it can squeal. It uses two different algorithms to generate the sounds and is capable of all sorts of nonsense.
Along with the pitch control, there’s a CV input for Vowel and one for Formant and it’s the manipulation of these that are going to bring the fascination. So you have speech synthesis provided by the Vowel sounds and frequency modelling provided by the Formant. Can’t find anything else to say much other than it’s definitely capable of some bonkers speech-like noises. Not exactly a virtual vocalist, more of a very merry robot.
