Both these new Solar Guitars multi-scale models feature a swamp ash body with a Dark Brown Open Pore finish, a thin-C three-piece maple neck and an ebony fingerboard. Each guitar has a different scale length; the six-string A1.6DBOP-FF has a 24.75″ to 26″ scale, whilst the seven-string A1.7DBOP-FF comes with a longer 25.5” to 27” scale length, to accommodate that low B.

Hardware

Both models use passive Solar-designed FF pickups, controlled via single volume and tone controls and a five-way selector switch. And, as with all Solar Guitars, you get some nice hardware choices including a Hipshot Multi-Scale bridge, a set of Solar locking tuners, stainless steel frets and a set of glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side dots.

After the new T-style T.16 AN models from last month, it would appear that the Solar Guitars range is ever-expanding and there seems to be no stopping the company for new releases in 2021. You can hear Ola taking the new 6-string A1.6DBOP-FF model for a spin in the demo video below.

RRP – A1.6DBOP-FF USD 999 and A1.7DBOP-FF  USD 1099
