Harmony Guitars Silhouette with Bigsby launched
Harmony has just launched a new Silhouette model with Bigsby B-5 vibrato, which adds some subtle shimmer to the offset-styled electric with gold-foil pickups.
Harmony Silhouette with Bigsby
The new Harmony Silhouette Bigsby models have an alder body with a bolt-on maple 25″ scale-length neck that’s got a fairly flat 12″ radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets. This points towards a fairly modern playing experience, but you also get those vintage accoutrements like the gold-foil pickups and Bigsby B-5 vibrato, which is great for adding some subtle shimmer to your chords.
Vintage Tones
Those gold-foil mini-humbuckers sound really good in the demo video below and paired with that Bigsby vibrato, I can see players who like vintage tones gravitating towards these sweet-looking offset models. Also, having modern playability of a fattish board and larger frets, plus a scale length between Fender’s 25.5″ and Gibson’s 24.75″, might make for a great playing experience as well.
These new Harmony Silhouette models with Bigsby come finished in nitrocellulose in a choice of Burgundy, Slate, or Space Black. All of which I think looks very good and suits the overall aesthetic really nicely.
RRP – USD 1549
