Leaked: Apple’s new Macbook Pro models will drop with macOS Monterey in October
According to new leaks, the rumored release of Apple’s new MacBook Pros will coincide with the October unveiling of macOS 12 this year. A database entry by the Eurasian Economic Commission revealed the two new Macbook Pro model numbers assigned to these long-expected Apple laptops. To add to the excitement, both models are equipped with the latest ARM processors, known as the “M1X”. News like this makes this easily one of the most eagerly awaited product releases of 2021.
Apple’s new MacBook Pro 14″ and 16″ to arrive in October
The endless speculation surrounding Apple’s new Macbook Pro release and how the 14″ and 16″ models will be packaged has reached a critical mass in the past few weeks. As per usual, the Cupertino tech giant seems all too aware of the hype and is extremely guarded about the specifications of their new Macbook Pro models. This time was no exception, and Apple’s historic reputation for releasing Macbook Pros equipped with new I/O and other tech standards makes for a frenzy of what-ifs in virtually every direction. A document surfaced from the regulatory authority EEC that usually contains new model numbers for new releases of upcoming Macs. Could these model identifiers (A2442 and A2485) be associated with the 2 new MacBook Pro 14 and 16-inch models? It seems true, and it’s surely no coincidence that the release date corresponds with the macOS unveiling, which normally happens in October.
The most recent speculations say the new Macbook Pro will feature a mini-LED screen, 1080p Facetime camera, and no touch bar. In the I/O department alongside the Thunderbolt/USB C, apparently, the inclusion of HDMI, microSD, and a MagSafe connector is imminent. Inside, the latest generation M1 processor, the M1X, is rumored to offer double the speed and performance of the current M1.
With the launch of this new M1 processor, there are rumors of a high-end Mac mini and a MacBook Air update in the first quarter of 2022, with the iMac Pro and Mac Pro announcements still to come. However, the news development of Intel’s new processor technology looms over the tech world, is it could be a gamechanger. With this kind of competition in the CPU marketplace again, we’re excited to see how things unfold.
