Superbooth 2021: Cherry Audio teases a Jupiter emulation
In the latest teaser video, Cherry Audio points to Jupiter and asks us to guess which synth they’re doing next.
Jupiter tease?
Cherry Audio are a bit rubbish at making tease videos. The one they posted before the launch of their MemoryMode synth back in July was clearly about the MemoryMoog and this one gives us a picture of our solar system with the planet Jupiter coloured in red. Could they perchance be working on an emulation of a Roland Jupiter synth? I think their ineptness is on purpose because they’re a funny bunch of wags and I enjoy that about them.

But which Jupiter? The numbers in the video seem to be a 2 and a 4 which could mean the Jupiter-4 but there’s no Jupiter-2. So maybe the numbers are a fiddle and in combination indicate Jupiter’s 4, 6 and 8?
Could be. We’ll know more on the 16th of September. Cherry Audio is not presenting at Superbooth this year but this release ties in nicely.

The 24-looking symbol is actually the astrological symbol for Jupiter. The first is the astrological symbol for Mercury, which also explains why it’s red in the solar system graphic. The last symbol is the elemental air symbol.
As far as what these all mean together, I have to shrug, but maybe those clues will be useful.
