Superbooth 2021: Befaco brings a Plethora of Noise and expands the Muxlicer
Noise Plethora comes with a ton of selectable noise flavours with filters for shaping into everything from hi-hats to glitches and textures plus the MEX trigger expander for Muxlicer.
Noise Plethora
Three channels of noise with shaping provided by an analogue multimode filter on each channel. The first two channels have access to a database of thematic noises, textures, clusters and harsh noises selectable on the front panel. Each noise has 2 parameters that can be controlled manually or over CV. While each channel has its own output you also get a “Gritty”, “Filtered” and “White Noise” output at the bottom.
It’s a regular smorgasbord of noise possibilities.
MEX
MEX modules are an expansion to Befaco’s Muxlicer sequential signal processor. They add a new line of Gates to a Muxlicer sequence. You can use the switches to turn off a step, output the same number of gates as the Muxlicer or just send one. So it’s like generating a companion of gates that remain relevant to the Muxlicer but with potentially different rhythms going on.
You can stack the module to provide further variations.
Superbooth
You’ll be able to see them in action at booth Z190 at Superbooth. Noise Plethora should be available in November for €350 whereas MEX will be out in October for €85.
