I have to admit that I really have no idea who Machine Gun Kelly is, but I hear he has rubbed up most of the metal community the wrong way and gets a lot of hate online. Thankfully, this ‘Tickets to My Downfall Pink’, single-humbucker, T-style guitar is just an instrument, and doesn’t need to share the artist’s baggage. So you can play whatever you like on it, whether that be crushing metal riffs or pop classics.

Specifications

For an Indonesian-made guitar, it boasts some pretty decent specifications. It comes with an alder body, and a 25.5” maple neck with carbon fibre rods for reinforcement, and a two-way adjustable truss rod. There’s an ebony fretboard that has 24 X-jumbo frets, with a single 12th fret Double XX inlay. You also get Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side dots.

The guitar features a single Schecter USA Pasadena Plus humbucking pickup in the bridge position, which is controlled via a volume knob and a kill switch, for stutter effects or for muting your guitar between songs.

Tickets to My Downfall Pink

The Tickets to My Downfall Pink finish has five black lines under the strings, and black binding around the top. All hardware is in black and includes a Schecter PT-H hardtail bridge, a Graph Tech XL Black TUSQ nut, and Schecter locking tuners.

Schecter makes some great guitars, and if you want something that stands out from the crowd, then this could fit the bill. I’m also a fan of single-pickup guitars, so it appeals to me on that level. They can get all the tones you need, just vary your pick attack.

RRP – USD 899

I didn’t know “Machine Gun Kelly” played the guitar. I thought he was a professional boyfriend.

File under “famous for being famous”.
I looked him up a while ago, when a friend mentioned him. Colson Baker is a bad-boy wanabee, born to middle class missionary parents, who copied the name of an infamous gangster in an attempt to hide his background and look cool. Kind of like that kid in school who thought smoking marijuana made him a rebel. Apparently he’s an anarchist now. Bless.
Though he did make the very savvy commercial decision to start a feud with Eminem when he was a relative nobody. Unfortunately that involved making public, sexual comments about Eminem’s young daughter, but hey, guy’s gotta eat.
Every few years he starts a new feud with someone more successful than him. The anarchist’s accountant will be very pleased.
