Ableton Live 9.7 available now!
We reported back in July on the new 9.7 version of Ableton Live. Well, it’s now available so point your browsers at Ableton.com and get yourself updated.
The focus is heavily on the Push hardware so if you don’t have one then maybe ignore all this and wait to see if you become relevant again with version 9.8.
If you do have a Push then check out the goodies:
- More slicing features: Chop samples by beat divisions or regions as well as by transients or manually.
- 16 Velocities: The new drum layout has 16 layers of velocity.
- Hands-on routing: You can select MIDI and audio routing directly from the hardware.
- Visual feedback: Easier colouring and stuff
If you don’t have the Push then you can console yourself with the news that their are new slicing modes available in the Simpler Ableton instrument – which is nice. Yeah, that’s about it.
It’s a free update to version 9 users and available from the Ableton website.
