DDMF NoLimits2: versatile and characterful limiter plug-in for EUR 25
Software developer DDMF presents NoLimits2, the next major development of its limiter plug-in. This is an easy-to-use dynamics processor that contains as many as four different limiting algorithms. With this much choice, you should be able to slam highly diverse audio signals into control. What’s more, you can currently get the NoLimit 2 plug-in at an affordable introductory price of just EUR 25!
DDMF NoLimits2 limiter plug-in
NoLimits2 is a new version of DDMF’s highly capable limiter plug-in. Touring the available parameters, the large gain control lets you increase the loudness instantly. The maximum audio level can be determined via the ceiling button. You can also decouple the two channels of the stereo compressor with the Link parameter and have the compressor act separately on the left and right audio channels. For finer adjustments of the limiting process, there are Attack, Release, and Lookahead settings as well.
The 4 limiter types that you can blend by using the Type slider offer some room for experimentation. Depending on the settings, you can have more or less character (i.e. saturation) – along the lines of Nice, Push, Punch, and Soft. Oversampling of up to eight times is also possible. Additionally, there is a peak meter for the input and output level, as well as the gain reduction. LUFS and true peak loudness values are also displayed below.
Price and availability
DDMF NoLimits2 is now available from the developer’s website at an introductory price of EUR 25, down from EUR 49. The plug-in works under macOS 10.7 or later (including M1 support) and Windows 7 or later in VST, VST3, AAX, and AU formats (32 and 64-bit). You can also download a demo version from the DDMF website. In the weeks ahead, DDMF NoLimits 2 will be available as an AUv3 plug-in for iOS devices, too.
