Four new Taylor American Dream series and Grand Theater acoustics for 2022
Including the new all-maple AD27e Flametop
Taylor has been busy, and is starting 2022 with two new American Dream series and two new Grand Theater models. This includes the new AD27e Flametop acoustic, part of the American Dream series, which may be the star in this new lineup.
Taylor AD27e Flametop
The new Taylor AD27e Flametop acoustic is part of the American Dream series, and features an all-maple construction, with a Grand Pacific body shape and V-Class bracing. You get Big Leaf maple for the top, back and sides, plus a Hardrock maple for the neck, which should give you a nice warm and woody tone.
It is available as either a pure acoustic version, or one with an onboard ES2 electronics system, in case you need to amplify your tone. This new model was designed by Taylor Master Designer Andy Powers, who chose maple due to the supply chain issues currently affecting the guitar industry.
Taylor AD22e
Next up is the Taylor AD22e, also part of the American Dream series. The guitar has a mahogany top, with solid sapele back and sides, and the smaller Grand Concert body shape. The body comes with chamfered edges, which should give players a more comfortable playing experience.
Taylor GTe Blacktop and GTe Mahogany
Finally, there are the GTe Blacktop, with its solid American walnut back and sides and Sitka spruce top, and GTe Mahogany, which has a ‘Neo-Tropical’ mahogany top, back and sides. Both of these new GTe models come fitted with the ES2 electronics, making them ideal for all situations.
