MIDIQUE KNTLR9: Stainless steel premium MIDI Controller
KNTRL9 has 9 faders and 27 rotary knobs cast from stainless steel, housed in a solid walnut or oak case with an aluminium front panel. As MIDI Controllers go this is one beautifully made device.

MIDI Controllers tend to be plastic and a bit clunky but that is definitely not the vibe Midique has gone for. KNTRL9 looks completely stunning in gleaming stainless steel and a wood surround. It will stand out in any environment or maybe if your other gear is of a similar aesthetic quality then it will just fit right in.
The 9 faders give the impression of the DAW controller setup where you have 8 channels of mixing plus a master fader and I think that’s the idea. It comes with a script for Ableton Live that takes care of easy track navigation and uses the 9 colour LEDs to reflect the track colour. Otherwise you have full MIDI control over whatever you like.
The faders have 60mm of throw and all the controls have 10bit/1024 step precision. The LEDs are programmable and you can get to the guts of the device via an included software tool. You can generate up to 5 presets that can be selected via buttons at the top.

is the first MIDI controller from Midique.
KNTRL9 looks really beautiful and I appreciate the obvious care and precision that’s gone into building this MIDI Controller.

Once again another standard controller without displays + parameter name & endless encoders 🙁
And non-motorized faders.
And lit indicators on the encoders. The Midi Fighter Twister and the Qcons are still two of the ones to beat.
I’m a little confused by the bit depth of the faders- 1024 step is nice.. but MIDI only has 128 steps and 8 bit, so what’s the practical application? If it’s just dithering from 10 to 8 at the output in order to be read, what’s the purpose?
