Gibson Slash Les Paul Standard Limited 4 Album Edition: Already sold out?
Limited run model to celebrate new Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators album
The new Gibson Slash Les Paul Standard Limited 4 Album Edition model in Translucent Cherry was no surprise, as we have already saw it online, both on the main Gibson site, and during a YouTube video two months ago on Gibson TV. If you are a Slash fan, and didn’t get your order in earlier, then you may have already missed out on this limited released!
Gibson Slash Les Paul Standard Limited 4 Album Edition
This Translucent Cherry signature Gibson Slash Les Paul Standard Limited 4 Album Edition comes with a whole set of goodies in the very square case. The guitar was designed to commemorate the new Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators‘ first album on Gibson Records. Its larger case was specifically designed to hold copies of the album on vinyl, CD and tape, plus a load of band stuff to celebrate the release. And, as you may have noticed, the guitar ships with a number 4 decal. It’s up to you if you choose to apply this, should you so wish.
Specifications
It comes with all the exact same specifications that you would expect from a Slash signature model. This means you get a mahogany body with a AAA flamed maple top, finished in that aforementioned Translucent Cherry finish. Then you get a ’50s vintage profile mahogany neck with an Indian Rosewood fretboard.
Custom BurstBuckers
Pickups are a pair of the Gibson Custom BurstBucker Alnico 2. These are wired via a standard two volume / two tone knob layout, with a three-way toggle switch. Hardware is all nickel-plated on this model and includes an ABR-1 bridge, and aluminium tailpiece, a set of keystone tuners, and a Graphtech nut.
Sold Out?
It’s a nice looking Les Paul, but with only 250 worldwide. So chances are, if you are reading this, then they have already sold out. Hopefully, the online scalpers won’t scoop them all up, and they will instead make it into the hands of fans instead.

Isn’t a Les Paul is a Les Paul is a Les Paul? Do we really need more “Slash” versions with just different colours? I guess the collector market must be huge.
Seriously, there must be more limited edition Slash LPs out there than non-limited models.
They get bought then sold and resold lots, for ever increasing prices. Why don’t you see the same happen much with Fenders? Because high-grade Fender get bought by guitar players, mostly.
Any idea on when they will start shipping?
