Overloud Blackstar Studio: Get this reverb IR pack for FREE!
Overloud has released Blackstar Studio as an IR expansion pack for the REmatrix convolution reverb plug-in. The collection brings seven rooms of Milan’s Blackstar Studio to your DAW – even the bathroom! And even better: Blackstar Studio is now available for FREE – but only for a few days.
Overloud Blackstar Studio
The latest expansion pack for Overloud REmatrix consists of a total of 40 impulse responses captured in Milan’s Blackstar Studio, which the developer calls “one of the best sounding studios ever”. They’ve used a collection of high-quality microphones in several different configurations to sample every room of the facility, including the main room, vocal booth, control room, machine room, and even the restroom. These rooms are included:
- Main Room (25 IRs)
- Control Room (4 IRs)
- Booth, Sound Lock (3 IRs)
- Machine Room (1 IR)
- Living (4 IRs)
- Bathroom (2 IRs)
- Sicilian Reverb (1 IR)
The rooms were sampled using microphones from AKG, Altes, Schoeps, Neumann, and Coles. Overloud REmatrix allows you to combine up to five IRs to create multi-layered reverbs. The expansion pack comes with 50 presets.

The REmatrix player runs on macOS 10.6 and up and Windows 7 and up as a VST, AU, AAX and RTAS plug-in (32/64 bit).
