Last month, a company named Soundwide was officially announced as the joint venture of iZotope, Native Instruments, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx. It’s a big gathering of artists and developers that makes sense. While there’s a huge financial incentive behind the de-facto merger, the outcome isn’t mere consolidation. From an outside perspective, I think the best is yet to come.

In celebration, Soundwide gave away Native Instruments Ethereal Earth, iZotope Neutron Elements, and the Plugin Alliance / Brainworx Welcome Bundle. If you didn’t get that good stuff when it was up for grabs, you have another chance to score – but you’ll have to part with USD 50. For the price, the new Soundwide Intro Bundle offers the following products:

  • Exponential Audio: R4, NUMBUS
  • Native Instruments: MASSIVE, GUITAR RIG 6 LE
  • Brainworx: bx_digital V3, bx_subsynth, bx_console N, bx_stereomaker, bx_delay 2500

The plug-ins are available in 64-bit VST, AU, AAX, and standalone formats for macOS 10.14+ or Windows 10. You can buy the Soundwide Intro Bundle from our affiliate partner Thomann:

My opinion? The Brainworx plug-ins are fantastic value, especially the Neve console emulation and that crunchy analog delay. The iZotope, Exponential, and NI offerings are solid starter plug-ins. Altogether, the pack is like a great bundle you’d get with a new MIDI controller or audio interface.

While advanced producers may sneer at the contents a bit, we have to keep in mind that Soundwide is about roping in as many novice / musically curious people as it can. They aren’t exactly interested in the intricacies of multi-band dynamic EQs and whatnot at this stage. For recording and polishing things up a bit, though, the tools are just right.
