Superbooth 22: GHOST audio processor from Endorphin.es and Andrew Huang
From the creative mind of Andrew Huang and the Eurorack expertise of Endorphin.es comes GHOST a multi-function audio processor for your modular.
Update: Now with video below.
GHOST
GHOST has been developed in line with Andrew’s music production techniques. It features multiple blocks of processing that you can repatch to achieve different ideas, textures and flavours. Therefore it’s completely modular and has no fixed structure making it super-versatile.
The engine runs on an ARM Cortex M7 processor with 96kHz 32-bit internal processing. It can do creative stereo processing with delay, reverb, filtering and distortion. Undoubtedly you will find lush halls, weird reverses, audio freezing and pre-delays. The delay can run up to 2.5 seconds and the distortion has a 8x oversampled distortion algorithm. You’ll also find a pre and post VCA tone and volume controls. So, the highly featured GHOST is definitely of high fidelity.
It has two inputs for dual mono or stereo operation. Additionally, you can rearrange the routing behind the scenes via a button at the bottom. Everything seems to have a CV input for control and modulation. Undoubtedly there’s a lot going on and once you start modulating it might get crowded.
The Compressor and SideChain are very interesting, producing a ducking envelope for use in other things. The Compressor action is all on a single knob making it easy to use.
I’m sure we’re going to see some magnificent demo videos on GHOST. My only concern is that it seems a bit busy. GHOST should be available in the summer in white or black for €470.
