Myles Kennedy spotted with a PRS Telecaster – A new signature model?
Myles Kennedy spotted with PRS mystery Telecaster
A Myles Kennedy signature PRS Telecaster? Myles Kennedy was spotted onstage in Hamburg wielding a mysterious new PRS T-type guitar. Could PRS be about to release a Telecaster-style instrument? Or is it just a prototype being tested?
PRS Telecaster
The PRS Telecaster style guitar was spotted on 1 June as Myles Kennedy played a show in Hamburg. Thankfully, a few people at the gig managed to film him playing the mystery guitar and so we can see some basic details.
It looks like a reverse back-angled PRS headstock which is similar to the company’s Silver Sky models. I guess from the outline that it is a pair of the PRS Narrowfield pickups, and potentially a T-Style bridge like the one from the PRS Vela model. Elsewhere we can see a maple neck with Hollow Bird inlays and a black matte pickguard on a gloss black body.
S2?
There does not appear to be much in the way of any major body sculpt, and it looks like a more subtle chamfered edge. Could it be an S2 model? As they have less carve than PRS Core models. PRS has yet to make any statements and the usual guitar forums are all still trying to work out what it is as well.
It could be a new signature model or just a prototype that Myles is trying out on tour? If I find any more details I will share them and update this article.
