Arturia Sound Explorers Collection Belledonne
The latest edition of the Sound Explorers Collection can be easily described as Arturia’s counterpart to Native Instruments Komplete. That is, a suite full of the developer’s flagship software products along with bonus content in the form of sound banks and presets. The collection is not as vast as Komplete, but it contains more recent products that make for a truly comprehensive bundle of synthesizers, samplers, effects, and sounds. Arturia is equally fantastic at analog gear emulation and digital works of imagination, so you’re getting immense value.
In addition to V Collection 9 (read more), which offers tens of faithfully emulated vintage synths, the bundle also includes FX Collection 3 (basically all the essential effects which make a bunch of dry mic’d recordings sound like a studio record) and the Pigments 3 cutting-edge digital synth that’s all over the place. The totals number in 34 virtual synthesizers and instruments, 26 effects, and 50 additional sound banks with 4000+ presets (for a total of 13,000). You can also create your own sounds, but just tweaking the thousands of presets can make for a lifetime of great noises.
The FX Collection 3 was only recently released (read more) and it’s an impressive gathering of dynamics, modulation, filters, preamp emulations, delays, reverbs and compressors. V Collection 9 brings updated versions of all emulations and some new ones, including loving replicas of the Korg MS-20 and the Ensoniq SQ80. Also included are the hybrid instruments Augmented STRINGS and Augmented VOICES. As for Pigments 3, it’s been out for a while. Arturia gave it away for a long time during the worst of the pandemic. You probably know enough about it at this stage.
The final piece of the puzzle is the stack of additional sounds where you will find presets sorted by genre, specially designed synthesizer patches, tribute patches with the sounds of famous artists, and the signature sounds of experienced sound designers. Also, buying the suite will save you a bit of cash compared to purchasing the individual products or collections. If you want all Arturia software in one package, it’s definitely the way to go.

All this, and still they haven’t managed to update the firmware on the polybrute so that the calibration makes it calibrated.
