Gibson Custom Shop Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-335
Murphy Lab aged Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-335
This new Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-335 was first teased back in May and now finally for sale. The Murphy Lab aged Custom Shop instrument will set you back $9999 and is a limited run of only 200 guitars worldwide.
Gibson Noel Gallagher 1960 ES-335
Noel Gallagher bought the original Gibson 1960 ES-335 back in 1997. It was often used on stage in the early 2000s and was then seen again and again with him. Gallagher originally purchased the guitar as an investment, but he ended up playing it out a lot instead. This, goes to show he likes a nice guitar and would rather play it, than stare at it
Murphy Lab
This Gibson Murphy Lab recreation is finished in Light Aged Cherry nitro lacquer. The body is made using laminated maple, with red spruce bracing and a maple centre block. It has an ebony fretboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays.
Key features include the Varitone switch and an ABR-1 bridge paired with a Bigsby B7 Vibrato. The guitar features aged gold hardware throughout to match the lightly aged cherry finish.
Custombucker
The guitar is powered by a pair of unpotted Custombuckers and wired using the mono Varitone switch, CTS pots and Black Cat capacitors. Therefore, it should sound pretty close to the vintage original that it is based on.
Price and Availability
This is a limited run of only 200 guitars worldwide. I guess that at $9999 each, these will be aimed squarely at collectors. Thankfully, the new Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera was also officially announced today at only $899. Therefore, there is something available for all budgets for Oasis and Noel Gallagher fans. Of course, this Custom Shop limited run comes with a load of case candy and will no doubt rise in value over the years due to its limited release.
MSRP – USD 9999

Gibsons is pumping out those “signatures”, to grab money on a daily basis nowadays. 10grand for an almost stock guitar, okey boys, keep it coming.
