MatrixBrute MIDI Editor and controller from Momo
Momo Müller turns his attention to the Arturia MatrixBrute with a complete MIDI Editor and Controller app as a VST plugin or standalone.
MatrixBrute MIDI Editor
It’s a good-looking plugin, that’s for sure. The MatrixBrute MIDI Editor grabs hold of the front panel of the hardware synth and slaps it onto your screen. It gives you direct access to all the synth’s parameters directly within your DAW or just from your computer in the standalone version.
You can, of course, record all the knob and fader movements on your MatrixBrute directly into your DAW as MIDI automation. So Momo’s editor isn’t doing anything new, but what it does do is make it a whole lot easier. With the plugin version, all the knob positions can be saved within your project. So, when you next open the project, it will program the MatrixBrute back to where you were. It also makes it much easier to tie in parameter automation rather than digging around for MIDI controller numbers.
As usual with Momo plugins, it also features a pair of XY pad controllers for performance and added modulation duties. You can tie it to any two parameters and go to town on the sound.

It’s important to note that this is not a VSY Instrument; it’s purely a virtual MIDI controller for a real-life hardware MatrixBrute. So, you need to own one of those if you want this software to be useful.
The price is $7, and it’s a must-have plugin for all MatrixBrute owners.
