Guitar Gear Gems: Way Huge Attack Vector, iPad Guitar and more
A new funky yellow stompbox from Jeorge Tripps
Guitar Gear Gems this week features the new Way Huge Attack Vector, a funky new stompbox that makes me think of the ’70s with its phaser and envelope effects. Then we check out Devil & Sons’ latest invention, the iPad Guitar. Finally, Aclam Guitars has updated its Fast Track pedalboard system with a new Fast Fastener add-on.
Attack Vector Phaser & Envelope
The Way Huge Smalls Attack Vector Phaser & Envelope combines the two effects into one bright yellow box. As always with Jeorge Tripps’ circuit designs, this one is pretty special and offers some pretty unique effect options.
Funk Lord
Designed for both guitarists and bassists it offers some pretty funky tones all with a fairly vocal tonality. This makes it a great addition to your arsenal of effects.
Controls are labelled Speed, Range, FDBK and SENS along with a phase/envelope toggle switch. Check out the official demo video below and hear it in all its funky glory.
I’m a sucker for Way Huge pedals and own lots of them, with my latest addition being an Atreides * and I adore that one. Basically, if Jeorge Tripps makes a new weird effect pedal, then I want it!
MSRP – USD 199.99

Devil & Sons iPad Guitar
We covered the Skull & Crossbones guitar series from Devil & Sons back in 2017. Well, they have moved on a little and are now showing off their new iPad Guitar.
Touch Tone
It is pretty daft and I cannot see any real reason to embed a touchscreen into a guitar when it doesn’t do anything in particular. More an exercise in ‘can we do it?’
It uses three piezo pickups and you can remove also the iPad from the guitar when you aren’t using the guitar. The iPad Guitar was an entry into 2022’s Great Guitar Build Off and is currently being raffled off as part of the Great Guitar Giveaway.

Aclam Smart Track
Aclam Guitars has added a new Smart Track Fast Fastener system to secure your effects pedals without adhesives to their Smart Track pedalboard system. It requires no modification to your favourite pedals, so no sticky velcro residue, etc
No More Velcro
It is a neat system and if you are willing to upgrade your pedalboard to one of the Smart Track ones, then I can see this being a nice easy way to manage your stompboxes. Plus, no more velcro, which is always a messy solution and no special tools are required either. Nice.
They also make a range of effect pedals which are compatible with the Fast Track system. Last year’s Woman Tone * was the most recent one in their range.
