As an audio tool, each aspect of the AG08’s layout has been designed for intuitive live operation. This is to give you a complete overview of your streaming session while being able to make corrective and creative changes on-the-fly.
The Yamaha AG08 Second Generation Live Streaming Mixer
The AG08 provides a total of 8 input channels. You’ll find XLR combo inputs on both channels one and two, but channel two is also equipped with Hi-Z input. Also, input 1 has a voice changer effect, while input 2 is equipped with an amp simulator.
Channels 3 and 4 have TRS line-level inputs with a high/low gain switch for dealing with different sources. Meanwhile, on channels 5 and 6 you have RCA inputs and a 1/8-inch TRS input. Finally, 7 and 8 have a four-pole TRRS socket for Android devices.
On the rear panel, the outputs are all +4 dBU. This includes the Monitor Out section with a pair of XLR and TRS outputs and a pair of TRS outs for the Mix Out. In addition, the AG08 can be powered via USB or the supplied power adapter.
Apart from convenient features like the customizable voice effect presets and sound pad triggers, you also have more pro audio features to ensure stream quality. This includes an auto ducker function on channels 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8, and a maximize feature on the main mix.
To make things even more interesting, the AG08 can be controlled from an app for Windows, MacOS, and iPad OS. Here, you can make precise adjustments to controls and trim recorded samples for use with the sound pads.
