The Arturia Rev LX-24 is a classic reverb plugin for your DAW
New from Arturia, the Rev LX-24 is a recreation of the Lexicon 224 digital reverb. Few pieces of gear defined an era quite like the 224, and many reverb units that followed were designed to create a similar sound.
Arturia’s new plugin version is everything you’d expect. Crisp, clean design for easy navigation of the interface and that lush vintage digital reverb sound.
Using the Arturia Rev LX-24
With each patch selected, basic adjustments can be done with the decay slider. So this is the go-to control for customizing any reverb sound to fit your mix. You have a choice of 8 classic algorithms and the ability to lock in your settings whilst switching between them.
Another nice addition is the modeling of the digital conversion stage. Here, you can select either a 12 or 24-bit converter which are both clipped at 8 kHz to give you those characteristically dark reverb tails from the 224. Or you can simply use the modern mode for a cleaner, brighter overall sound.
For those willing to go beyond the presets, the Advance View is where the magic happens. In this section, you can truly sculpt the sound of your reverb with controls to set the reverb distance, bass offset, crossover point, and damping amount.
You can also access the gated reverb and tremolo reverb effects for more creative sound design applications.
