NAMM 2023: 4MS Looping Delay and Sampler modules with DIY options

4MS is announcing a new line of modules and kits kicking off with a Looping Delay and Sampler, either fully built or DIY.
Sampler
The Sampler module is based on the Stereo Triggered Sampler but looks a lot less complex. All the sample data is stored on a microSD card in the front. It comes with 100s of samples ready to go, or you can transfer over your own or record directly to it; this is a sampler after all.
You have control over Pitch, Start position, Length and sample selection within a bank. A button pushes the sample into reverse, and another selects the bank to play in. That’s it! At the bottom, you have CV control over sample selection, parameters, play/record and reverse.
You can record in stereo or mono and output the same. Sampling is done at 48kHz and 24-bit.

This is pretty simple and effective stuff. No frills, no effects, and no complexity getting in the way of capturing things and triggering samples.
Looping Delay
Following the same simplistic style is the Looping Delay. It can clock sync and throw out echoes of up to 90 seconds. Time is all about sub-sections of the tempo and musical beats, and if you don’t have a clock, you can use the tap tempo.
Feedback can go all the way up to 110%, which I imagine leads to all sorts of nonsense. There’s also a knob to control how much is mixed with the original signal.
There’s an Infinite Hold button, a Reverse option and a Send and Return socket for looping in other effects.

From the looping point of view, you can do sound-on-sound looping and then shift around the sampling via CV. Sounds like a lot of fun.
Availability
Both will be available in June. You can get the built version of the Sampler for $299 built or $199 for the kit. The Looping Delay is $275 built or, alternatively, you can get the kit for $175.
