Eowave was showing a bunch of new modules under the name “Space” including the Tempéte Magnétique filter, Richochet quad VCA and Supamix mixer.

From what we can gather there are seven new modules in the Space line. Information hasn’t emerged on all of them yet but the filter seems especially interesting and here’s what we know.

Tempéte Magnétique

Look at the size of this thing. Tempéte Magnétique is a Quad Complex Multimode Filter. It’s fully analogue and is inspired by the cross-modulation found in complex oscillators. Each filter has an Oberheim-inspired 12dB slope and you can run them in series or parallel. But acting together and combined with the ping input, the internal envelope follower and cross-modulation engine it can become a full synth voice, a waveshaper, drum auto-filter, percussion generator and much more.

So, each filter can self-oscillate and become a modulation source or one of the other filters. There’s a lot of madness to be had inside this thing using feedback paths and cross-modulation. Eowave go into all the detail in this video from SonicState (below).

Ricochet

Ricochet is a Quad Chained Analogue Decay/VCA. So, it’s a VCA with a built-in decay envelope, making it perfect for percussion and basslines. Each channel has separate VCA and enveloped VCA output with some interesting visual representations. A very cool Link function lets you trigger the next envelope with the end of the last one, which sets up some useful ratcheting.

Supermix

Supermix is a compact stereo mixer that packs a lot of mixing into a small space. It has two channels with manual panning, two with CV-controlled panning and two with stereo inputs giving you six channels overall. Each has a mute switch, but Eowave has built-in some mute modes called “Swap”. These include reversing state on a gate or trigger, a 6-bit binary counter, random, sequenced or rotated.

Other modules

These three seemed to be the ones Eowave was showing at Superbooth but it looks like there’s also a big Redondances Quad-Head Delay, Volcon envelope generator and even a new version of the Domino.

It’s all looking amazing and there’s plenty to get your teeth into.
