The new SSL G3 MultiBusComp is a multiband mixing and mastering plugin inspired by the bus compressor from the famous G-series consoles.
With an unmatched legacy in recording equipment design, SSL has built a reputation for innovation with software design that often expands on the features from the hardware on which it’s based and slips seamlessly into DAW workflows.

With the G3, there are 3 variable frequency bands, each with its own set of compression parameters including the auto-release feature.
In addition, to speed up your workflow, you can link parameters across multiple selected frequency bands and adjust them simultaneously. What’s more, each band has mix controls for independent parallel compression.
Another useful feature is that each of the three bands is equipped with extensive sidechain features, as well as monitoring options. This way, you can hone in on the frequency range you’d like to work with and hear exactly how much work the compressor is doing.
Like many of the SSL plug-ins, quality metering, and A/B preset comparison provide a utilitarian edge, while the 4K Drive feature can add colour to each of the 3 frequency bands independently.
