As any experienced artist will tell you, learning a new instrument can sometimes provide you with some inspiration. Even as you get more hours behind you, a new controller, synth module, or drum machine can give you the creative spark you need.

Behringer TD-3

The Behringer TD-3 is a super affordable bassline synth based on the famous Roland TB-303. It gets you into the acid game without needing to read the manual.

Like the original, the TD-3 is very simplistic. However, it does have a few tricks up its sleeve like the distortion circuit that makes things a bit more fun.

Here, besides controlling the amount of distortion you can also set the tone. So you can target specific parts of your bassline to get some truly noxious sounds.
