Guitar Gear Gems: Aclam Guitars The Mocker – Beatles Fuzz
Plus, the new Jackson Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 Ash limited edition
This week’s Guitar Gear Gems include the new Aclam Guitars’ The Mocker a vintage Beatles-inspired fuzz. We also check out the new Jackson Limited Edition Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 Ash signature model. Finally, we take a peek at the new Red Witch Synthotron III pedal.
Aclam Guitars The Mocker
Aclam Guitars The Mocker is a vintage Beatles-inspired fuzz that is based on the legendary VOX UL730. It is a limited edition run of 200 pedals, so you will want to move fast if you are looking to get one.
This is the company’s second Beatles-inspired pedal, as the Dr Robert was released back in 2019.
Vintage Fuzz
The fuzz pedal has intuitive bias and tone controls for vintage nostalgia with modern tones. To preserve the authenticity and spirit of the original UL series, rare N.O.S (New Old Stock) Phillips OA200 diodes are used in the circuit.
Another interesting ‘artist-inspired’ effect from Aclam and worth checking out if you want that ’60s Beatles fuzz tone.

Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 Ash
This new Jackson Limited Edition Jeff Loomis Kelly HT6 Ash signature model is a really nice modern shred-style guitar. Key specifications for this guitar include a sandblasted ash top on a basswood body.
This is paired with a through-body maple neck with graphite reinforcement and an ebony fretboard with 24 jumbo frets. Plus, it has the sharkfin pearloid inlays and a set of Luminlay side dots that glow in the dark.
Seymour Duncan
This signature model guitar also comes with a pair of Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Signature Blackouts. It has a three-way toggle switch and a single volume control with active electronics, so there is a range of heavy tones on offer.
Hardware includes a Hipshot hardtail bridge and a set of locking strap buttons.
A great-looking all-black take on the classic Kelly body shape and with some nice stripped-back features.

Red Witch Synthotron III
The Red Witch Synthotron III is, as the name suggests, the third incarnation of this analog synth pedal. It comprises Synth, Filter, and Chorus effects all rolled into one multi-coloured, knob-laden pedal.
4 Voices
It has four independent all-analog voices, each with pitch and octave settings. Along with a filter section that includes Sample Hold Mode, Envelope Filter Mode, and Manual Sweep Mode.
External expression jack inputs enable external expression pedal control for filter range and the LFO speed.
Finally, the analog chorus is based on their Empress Deus Chorus and uses an NOS MN3007 bucket brigade chip.
It is a pretty full-on synth pedal and each one is hand-built and numbered, with around a maximum of 100 being available before the end of the year.
MSRP – USD 599
