Zoom MS-200D+: Tones with Colour Changing Display
The Zoom MS-200D+ is a multi-effects stompbox encompassing 200 different drives and distortions, all within one compact pedal with a funky new display.
Zoom MS-200D+
This new multi-effects is a drive and distortion pedal which, according to Zoom, is made to shred! Essentially, and as the name would suggest, you get 200 effects including 164 zoom presets, an additional 36 emulators of classic tones and control over further boost and fuzz.
Colour Changing Display
A solid metal frame in yellow welcomes a blue footswitch surround. Moreover, an LCD screen that changes depending on which effect you’re going for.
Handy for live shows on dark stages, you’ll be able to distinguish your drives from your fuzz, and your boost from your pre amp.
Cross Key Switches
Ergonomically designed footswitch controls allow players to easily adjust and tweak their sound on the Zoom MS-200D+. Four positional buttons allow you to scroll through effects and stored presets.
The top bank of control knobs means you can tweak on and adjust specific parameters for each effect on offer. Some of these include:
- Ray Drive – Plenty of overtones
- Bleed Fuzz – Ideal for lead and single notes
- Nebula Distortion – A warm and full sound
Zoom MS-200+: Extra Features
Despite a huge range of digital effects, players can also make use of a built-in guitar tuner.
Furthermore, you’ll have access to the Handy Guitar Lab app for IOS. Meaning that you can grow and refine your collection of patches.
No 9v battery?! Nope, not here! The Zoom MS-200D+ takes x2 AA batteries, as well as USB-C power. Unusual, but moving with the times.
Zoom MS-200D+: Bright sights and sounds
Overall, a great little pedal worth considering. It won’t replace your entire rig, but you can’t complain about the amount of drives at your disposal.

Hmm, so it can’t be powered by my godlyke power -all or other form of pedalboard power?
Would like to see the successor of Zoom MS-70CDR, it’s been over 10 years.
