Harrison Audio 32Classic Channel Strip
Not to be confused with the 32C or MPC Channel Strip plug-ins, the 32Classic is the new plug-in based on the legendary 32 series Harrison consoles.
Starting with the input section, the 32Classic Channel Strip gives you a saturation feature modelled on the transformer-coupled mic preamp in the 32Classic console. Here, you can introduce harmonics with the Drive control.
Next, you have an extensive gate/expander section, capable of corrective dynamics shaping of drum tracks. In addition, you can add more expression to any sound with its depth and sidechain filter frequency controls.
Equally, the compressor provides the same level of control with three operating modes including Level, Comp, and Limit. The 4-band parametric EQ has bell modes for the high and low shelves as well as a high-pass and low-pass filter to set the frequency range.
The plug-in offers complete modular operation. This means that each section can be bypassed individually and you can change the order of the signal path to suit your needs.
Overall, the 32Classic is a versatile channel strip plug-in for any style of music. However, it’s especially adept in dealing with recorded material.
