At first glance, the ATH-S300BT bears a strong resemblance to the popular Sony WH-1000XM4. However, as it isn’t competing at the premium end of the market, we’ll be surprised at the level of features that are included for the meager price tag.
The digital hybrid noise-cancelling technology uses a MEMS microphone system to capture and remove ambient sound. Meanwhile, the closed-back dynamic design uses 40mm drivers, providing the exciting auditory experience we expect from Audio-Technica.
By far, the most exciting prospect of using the ATH-S300BT headphones is the playback time. When fully charged, you’ll get up to 90 hours of playback and 60 hours with the ANC mode active. What’s more, the lithium polymer battery needs only a 3-minute charge via USB-C to give you 2.5 hours of use.
Like most ANC headphones, there is a hear-through function that lets you listen to the outside world underneath the media you consume or calls you make. Furthermore, the Bluetooth 5.1 allows two simultaneous device connections at once.
