Tascam Model 2400: The new Flagship Mixer/Multitrack Recorder
The versatile mixer is more comprehensive than ever.
The Tascam Model 2400 packs a 24-track analogue mixer and digital recorder into one flexible console for studios or live venues alike.
Tascam’s Model series mixers are loved for their warm analogue sound and the versatility of the digital functionality with recording and effects processing capabilities.
Tascam Model 2400
As an analogue mixing desk, the Model 2400 has 16 High-Definition Discrete Architecture (HDDA) preamps, 12 of which have channel strips with inserts, parametric midrange EQs, and compressors.
In addition, the routing capabilities are extensive, with 5 aux sends per channel and four assignable sub-mixes. This makes it easy to make use of the internal effects engine, set up monitor mixes, or incorporate external outboard gear into the equation.
The input select switches have three modes to flip between digital and analogue sources. These include mic/line mode for tracking, multitrack mode for SD playback, and USB mode for DAW playback.
One of the most impressive features of the Model 2400 is its master bus processing section, as this can easily be applied for mixing in studio and live sound situations.
This section includes an EQ and a compressor with individual controls for threshold, ratio, attack, release, and makeup gain. Furthermore, you have access to the same 16 effects algorithms common to the Model series mixers.
Overall, the routing, bus processing, and HUI/MCU DAW control features make the Model 2400 the most complete solution in the range. If you’re planning to record, mix, or broadcast, this is an option worth checking out.

I own a Tascam 2400. I know it’s an excellent product 👌
Don’t forget, they added MIDI.
Tascam color scheme is ugly. Why not make a black console? You have gold, red, orange blue. I can’t put this in my studio because it’s too ugly looking.
It’s hard to tell from the photo whether it’s gold or yellow, but this is a matter of personal preference. There aren’t many consoles in warm colors, and I feel that cool colors like blue are more common.
