Harley Benton has just launched three new electric guitar kits: the Extreme-84, Extreme-76, and Victory. These kits are perfect for DIY metalheads and lovers of Ponty guitars!
Harley Benton Electric Guitar Kits
The Harley Benton Electric Guitar Kits range has been popular for several years, offering everything required to build an electric guitar. New models were added to these DIY guitars in November 2023, and now they have expanded the range even further.
Extreme, pointy and ready to rock!
The three new kits are the Extreme-84, Extreme-76, and Victory.
Extreme-84 and Extreme-76 DIY kits
These two comprehensive packages provide everything you need to craft a powerful, professional instrument. The pre-sealed Okoume body offers a blank canvas for your creativity, whether you prefer a natural finish or a custom design.
They also include a bolt-on Okoume neck and a Roseacer fretboard with dot inlays. The body and neck are finished with a wood sealer, allowing the surface to be sprayed with lacquer, but when a wood stain is used, the surface may require re-sanding.
These kits feature high-quality components, including humbucker pickups, a Tune-O-Matic bridge, and die-cast tuners. The Extreme-84 model includes a pair of the HBZ Active Humbuckers, so there is a slight upcharge for that upgrade.
Then, the Extreme-84 has black hardware, and the Extreme-76 has chrome hardware. The 76 also has a white pickguard, whereas the 84 does not.
Victory Kit
The Victory kit differs slightly. This V-shaped model has a basswood body. It also has a bolt-on Okoume neck and a Roseacer fretboard with dot inlays. This one comes with a pair of humbuckers and chrome hardware.
Each kit includes dual volume knobs for each pickup, a master tone knob, and a 3-way pickup selector switch, offering endless tonal possibilities. A fresh set of strings is also included to get you started. While building your guitar is a rewarding experience, basic woodworking skills and tools are essential for this DIY project.
