dBdone is a free tool that organises your DAW projects: No more studio chaos!
Faster to the finished track: How dBdone makes project management easier
dBdone is a free (for now) software for macOS and Windows from two Munich-based developers that helps you organise your DAW projects and get a grip on the chaos of managing countless music projects. With multiple projects and tight deadlines, it can be hard to keep track of your song files, audio data, production notes, mixes and collaborations. This is where the app comes in, providing a software solution that dramatically simplifies your music production workflow. And it’s now available in a free beta version.
Stay on top of things with dBdone: Organise your DAW projects effectively
The dBdone software supports most popular DAWs and provides a central platform for managing all your projects, links and files. You can open projects directly from the software’s dashboard without having to navigate through multiple folders. A particularly useful feature is the ability to listen to projects without having to start them from scratch in the DAW. You can simply record an important section of your project and play it back directly in the app, saving you a lot of time.
dBdone also offers an intuitive tagging system and a way to sort projects so you can find your files quickly and easily without having to search for them. The ability to set tasks and deadlines for each project also helps you stay organised and ensure that you complete your projects on time. The ability to create your own project names and artwork in the app is also a great way to avoid annoying filenames with cryptic working titles.
New app insider tip: free software to streamline your music workflow
Another highlight of this organisation software is the ability to create your own artist website in seconds. You can then share your projects and songs directly with your community via your personal my.dbdone URL.
In addition to being an excellent tool for organising your music collection, it will also help you work more efficiently and productively by simplifying many time-consuming tasks. It is still unknown if and how much the software will cost when it is released. All in all, a great, really interesting and unique project that we will definitely be keeping an eye on.

My goodness!
This is EXACTLY what I have been looking for. A total gamechanger. If it also managed firmware updates for pesky hardware it’d be absolutely perfect.
Yeehaw 🤠
Wonderful… until your projects go missing or their AI running undetected behind the scenes steals all of your musical ideas.
Allowing an unknown software company access to all of your original music is the most stupid thing I think I’ve ever heard. How dumb do these companies think we are?
This is an absurd idea. Absolutely ridiculous
‘Help organise your projects’ – I mean ffs!
DAW’s like Reason are already filled with bloat and spyware – enough is enough.
There’s always someone naive enough to jump on board though!
It looks nice and all, but it seems that it costs at least as much time to maintain as it saves. And also, people who are disorganised will be disorganised with this solution as well. Not to mention the what others said about possible intrusion.
This is surely aimed at complete idiots??
