The centerpiece of the Hercules DJ Essentials Kit is the company’s DJControl Inpulse 300 MK2. A DJ controller with built-in audio interface, it connects to your computer via a USB cable, allowing you to access a variety of DJ mix applications such as Serato DJ and DJUCED, Hercules’ own program aimed at beginners.
DJControl Inpulse 300 MK2 sports large jog wheels with vinyl feel and pressure detection plus 16 backlit pads to control various modes such as hot cues, rolls and slicer effects. There is also Stems Control to separate any track into vocals, bass, drums and melody in real-time via Serato and its AI stems algorithm as well as Intelligent Music Assistant (IMA), which suggests the best tracks to mix in next based on BPM, energy levels and your preferences.
The DJControl Inpulse 300 MK2 also provides support for streaming services Beatport ADVANCED, Beatsource, SoundCloud GO+ and TIDAL.

DJing is no fun without speakers so Hercules DJ Essentials Kit includes a set of DJMonitor 42’s. With four-inch woofers plus shifted tweeters for enhanced clarity, plus adjustable volume, bass and treble settings, “these speakers are perfect for those seeking an immersive and dynamic audio experience,” says Hercules.
The pair includes one active and one passive speaker with a frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz. The active speaker sports RCA connectors in the rear plus headphones and aux in around the front.

What would a DJ be without headphones? The included Hercules HDP DJ60 cans have 50mm drivers and an over-ear closed-back design for monitoring and beatmatching. HDP DJ60 reproduces from 15Hz to 22kHz and has an impedance of 32 ohms.

To round out the package, the Hercules DJ Essentials Kit also includes access to DJ Academy, a free five-day course on DJing from DJcoach.com. It’s aimed specifically at owners of the DJControl Inpulse 300 MK2 running Serato DJ Lite.
