One of the leading brands for premium recreations of legendary studio gear is back with two guitar pedals. The Warm Audio WA-C1 pays homage to the Boss CE-1, the holy grail of chorus effects to many. And the Warm Audio Pedal76 brings the sought-after 1176 compression to your board.

Warm Audio WA-C1: Boss CE-1 for the Masses

The Warm Audio WA-C1 Chorus Vibrato sports a vintage look that’s pretty darn close to the famed OG. It’s a real showstopper on your pedal board. With its all-analog preamp, the WA-C1 stays close to what made the CE-1 special. Its level controller adds punch, depth, and even natural compression to your guitar tone.

You can adjust depth and rate separately, an excellent addition to the classic ‘intensity‘ dials found on vintage devices. In terms of I/O, the Warm Audio WA-C1 offers one 1/4″ input and a stereo pair of 1/4″ outputs. Like the original Boss pedal, you also get a separate vibrato section. This will add that sought-after wobbly LoFi effect if you need it. Warm Audio says the WA-C1 uses modern BBD chips and carefully selected components to reproduce the depth and detail of the most sought-after vintage pedals.

In addition, the back offers a switch for a selectable impedance, which lets you choose between the vintage input impedance of 50k Ohm and a 1.1M Hi-Z setting. The WA-C1 is available at Thomann* for $205.00 / £187.00 / €219.00.

Warm Audio Pedal76: Get “that” compression sound

The Warm Audio Pedal76 is a pedal that houses a FET compressor in the legendary 76 style. It follows in the footsteps of the popular WA76. After ten years of development, Warm Audio introduces its successor. According to the manufacturer, they used a custom-built CineMag transformer for this. It’s coupled with high-quality capacitors, resistors and transistors, and an FET circuit – that’s going to sound lovely.

The controls for attack, release, ratio, and input help you control dynamics. The Warm Audio Pedal76 also comes with a switch to change between true or buffered bypass. In addition, there are handy features like input sensitivity, ground/lift, pad activation, and high/low gain modes. Looks like this is a pretty versatile compression pedal!
