The ASM Hydrasynth Deals in Detail
When ASM debuted the original 49-key Hydrasynth back in 2019, the world was a very different place. Firstly, the terms ‘COVID’ or ‘Global Pandemic’ were nowhere to be seen. Polyphonic aftertouch was still a distant memory, mentioned only by us older synthesists when opining about synths of yore.
And then, ‘BOOM!’, new kid on the block, ASM, dropped the digital wave morphing Hydrasynth and everything changed. Well, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but it certainly made a massive impact in our little corner of the music-making world. A powerful, digital synthesizer with a brilliant programming paradigm, an amazing sound AND that elusive polyphonic aftertouch.
It is more than fair to say that the Hydrasynth ushered in a new era of expressive synthesizer performance, whether you like the instrument or not. Soon after, they released the desktop version but it was the introduction of the Hydrasynth Deluxe that cemented its reputation. In the age-old tradition of answering the ‘how do we make this synth better’ question, ASM took two Hydrasynth engines, bolted them together and gave them a lovely 73-key polyAT keyboard.
The introduction of the baby in the range, the very cute Hydrasynth Explorer, was another ground-breaker, delivering that famed poly AT in a medium key-size format.

I don’t understand these articles. The price hasn’t changed, it is the same as a month ago. So where are these savings? 740off of what?
The price is still the same as it was before… in EU and in US… where are the huge savings?

How weird, the prices in the article ánd in the Thomann links (the ones with ghe pictures) do not match the actual lower prices at Thomann.
For the Deluxe the difference is significant: €1555 vs 1799 from the article.
I wish sunths held their value across the board like guitars
..sad to see most of my gear for a 10th of their original cost
