The Keeley Zoma combines premium tremolo and reverb effects for an authentic vintage sound in one compact pedal. These two sound effects were among the first to be integrated into amplifiers, and the Zoma offers a modern interpretation.

The Keeley Zoma features a simple layout with three large knobs that provide control over reverb level, tremolo rate, and depth. Additional controls for reverb decay time, reverb tone, and tremolo volume are also accessible via the Alt button. And a cute retro LED indicates the speed of the tremolo effect.

What’s pretty nifty is the option to change the order of the two effects. So, you can choose whether the tremolo should be applied before or after the reverb. The pedal also runs both in true bypass or silent buffered bypass, which allows for maximum flexibility in terms of signal processing.

Three Modes for Endless Sonic Explorations

There are three different combinations or Reverb and Tremolo to choose from using a small DIP switch. To start with, there is SS (Spring Reverb and Sine Tremolo) – a traditional spring reverb combined with a sine tremolo. Then, there is PH (Plate Reverb and Harmonic Tremolo) – a plate reverb combined with a harmonic tremolo, which sounds pretty exciting. And PV (Plate Reverb and Pitch Vibrato) – a plate reverb combined with a pitch vibrato for all your Lo-Fi desires.

The Keeley Zoma offers a wide range of sonic possibilities. The Strymon Flint, available here at Thomann*, is a similar design and has long been a popular classic among reverb/tremolo pedals. The Keeley Zoma seems to be an exciting alternative and a continuing development of the Keeley Hydra pedal.
