Martin Johnny Marr: A 7-string acoustic guitar?!
The Martin Johnny Marr M-7 is a unique acoustic guitar with a rare seven-string configuration. It features an octave-raised G string that perfectly captures Marr’s signature sound from The Smiths. This design is ideal for recreating Marr’s lush and complex sound of his most famous songs.
For fans of the classic six-string format, the Martin Johnny Marr M-6 is an excellent choice. This standard model was developed in close collaboration with Marr to guarantee a unique playing feel. Equipped with a thick mahogany neck that has a continuous profile and a narrower width at the nut, the M-6 allows for fluid transitions and complex chord structures with ease. You really feel like you’re holding wood in your hands.
Woods and Electronics
Both guitars feature the Grand Auditorium body size (0000/M) made of solid Sitka spruce and East Indian rosewood. This type of guitar body not only ensures a high level of comfort but also provides excellent projection.
