Jackson Audio Twin Trem: A Blend of Classic & Modern
Your ticket to classic and modern tremolo tones.
This Jackson Audio Twin Trem is a dual-tremolo effect and offers a unique blend of classic and modern effects. Then factor in its flexible routing, and this tremolo is one to have on your radar
Twin Trem
The Twin Trem is the latest Jackson Audio pedal, which combines two tremolo effects into a dual-sided pedal.
Each side has dedicated controls, making it perfect for fans of this classic guitar effect.
Classic Meets Modern
On one side, the Harmonic Trem (RED) delivers lush, swirling modulations that add depth and texture to your sound. On the other, the Optical Trem (BLUE) provides smooth, traditional waves that evoke the golden age of guitar amplification.
Independent Controls
Both tremolos feature independent Speed, Depth, and Volume controls, giving you precise control over each effect. This is an excellent and straightforward way to get a lot from one pedal, making this tremolo very user-friendly.
Users can also combine both tremolos (MAGENTA) to create layered, percussive soundscapes that push the effect in a different direction. LED indicators visually display the speed of each tremolo, making it easy to sync them together for intricate rhythmic patterns.
Flexible Routing
Another excellent feature of the Twin Trem is its ability to route the signal path in various ways. Standard routing allows the signal in and out of the pedal for a straightforward effect. Serial Routing lets the user pass the signal through the Harmonic side first, then through a reverb or other effect, and finally into the Optical side to achieve a classic amplifier-style tremolo setup.
Finally, Stereo Operation allows users to access the Harmonic tremolo for the right channel and the Optical tremolo for the left channel to create an immersive stereo soundscape.
This flexible routing will make this tremolo effect a good choice for anyone with more complex guitar rigs.
Verdict
I’m already a massive fan of tremolo effects, so this new Jackson Audio has caught my attention. The demos sound good, and they are very reasonable price-wise. Indeed, it is certainly one to try if you are in the market for a flexible tremolo effect.
