Dawesome ZYKLOP is available for free, and you definitely shouldn’t miss out on this plug-in! That’s because ZYKLOP gives you a very cool synthesizer that works on the principle of resynthesis and is fundamentally different from many other sound generators.
Dawesome ZYKLOP: A Free Re-Synthesizer
Dawesome ZYKLOP is all about resynthesis. At the heart of it all is the IRIS, the hub of sound generation. This is where you drag any sample you like, which can be a single note or a whole loop (like a drum groove). ZYKLOP takes this sample and performs a resynthesis, i.e. the sound is broken down into its constituent parts and put back together again. That’s more or less how it works.
Dawesome ZYKLOP is not a sampler. Instead, like a typical synthesizer, it gives you access to various parameters that you can use to take the sound in a completely new direction.
The Little Sister of MYTH
It reminds me a bit of one of the basic concepts of Sonic Charge Synplant 2, but even more of MYTH, ZYKLOP’s big brother. In this sense, the new plugin can be seen as a kind of slimmed-down version of MYTH. The main difference is that MYTH has two of the IRIS sections.
Otherwise, Dawesome ZYKLOP offers all the features that make MYTH such an exciting plugin. You get access to all the parameters, there are effects, cool features like the sophisticated resonator and a whole stack of presets.
The plugin also supports MPE controllers like the Expressive E Osmose* or a Roli Seaboard – but you can also use your favourite controller.
Dawesome ZYKLOP is definitely worth downloading. If you are looking for a synth that stands out from the crowd, this is a fantastic plugin for sound design. It’s well worth it!
