The Nobels DEL-mini Delay packs three classic delay modes into one compact pedal that won’t break the bank. This mini pedal also has many great features, so let’s take a closer look.
DEL-mini Delay
This new Nobels DEL-mini Delay offers three delay models: Tape, Analog, and Digital. It also takes up very little room on your pedalboard, so it could be perfect for smaller ‘fly rigs’ or for any player who needs to squeeze in a delay effect with lots of variety.
The Time, Feedback, and Mix control knobs give you access to the most critical parameters, and a three-way mini-switch allows users to flick between the three delay modes on offer.
It covers the warmth of a tape echo, the classic sound of an analog delay, and the clarity of a digital delay, which makes it pretty flexible for such a compact pedal. The multi-coloured LED lets users know which mode the pedal is set to, which is also very useful.
Tap Tempo
The pedal also allows users to set the tap tempo, and the flashing LED provides visual feedback on the tempo set—a handy feature that is most welcome on a delay pedal. There is also a switchable mono and stereo mode so that the pedal will work well in any guitar rig.
A small switch on the top of the unit allows users to choose between true bypass and buffered bypass.
Useful Extras
Nobels has given the pedal a few extra features that will benefit the user practically. These include “glow in the dark” knobs which make it easier to see how the pedal is set on a darkened stage.
Plus, four integrated, fold-out Mounty-P mounting plates make it easier to attach to compatible pedalboards.
