With Tim Exile Scapeshift, you get a complete collection of pattern generators, synthesizers, and effects for shaping ideas into songs.
Tim Exile has been an innovator in Music Tech for years and started developing Scapeshift out of necessity while he recovered from major cancer surgery. According to Tim, he wanted to compose stream-ready music quickly to accompany his video content as he documented his recovery.

At its core, Scapeshift is a versatile rhythmic production engine, that can be used as a standalone tool or it can be incorporated into your DAW-friendly or DAW-less workflow.
Unlike other DAWs, the sequencer data isn’t finite or static. Instead, Scapeshift can morph continuously between two patterns, generating constantly differing results. Alternatively, you can also create infinite variations on a main theme or riff.
To get you started with the Scapeshift workflow, there are 12 included themes. It might seem rather AI-like, but with a set of precise parameters, you can really mold your results to make something that feels uniquely your own.
Among the sound generation and processing tools included with Scapeshift, you’ll find:
- Five drum synthesizers
- Two monosynths and a Polysynth
- A resonator
- A Noise Generator
- Effects
- A Multiband Master Bus Processor
Overall, this sounds like an exciting tool, whether you’re an experienced producer or a complete newbie.

I purchased it. and saw the license agreement. I wish it was made available before purchase, though i have no problem with it.
