The Ferrofish Pulse8 AE is a compact 8-channel professional AD/DA converter with a wide range of applications in studio and live situations.
Already an established manufacturer of digital conversion technology, Ferrofish adds the Pulse8 AE to its versatile High Density Line, with the same converters as the larger Pulse16.
Ferrofish Pulse8 AE
Using ESS converter chips, the Pulse8 AE delivers 32-bit 192 kHz conversion with a +20dBu headroom rating and ADAT connectivity which makes it flexible for expanding your current interface with more inputs, or adding further expansion to the Pulse8 AE.
With 8 analogue inputs and outputs and 16 channels of ADAT (48kHz), the Pulse8 AE is the center of the ultimate Pro Tools rig. While it’s small enough to fit into your backpack with your laptop, the Pulse8 AE’s expandability allows you to change your configuration to suit the demands of your upcoming session in any studio.
This is made possible with the RemoteFish control app for Mac and PC, giving you the ability to easily route any input to any of the available outputs. If you’re doing analogue summing, this is a great solution, as you can route your channels through any console or summing mixer and bring the warmth of your analogue outboard gear into the picture.
Alternatively, in live sound applications, the Pulse8 AE is an excellent tool for multitrack recording or playing multichannel backing tracks through your live rig.
