Solar Guitars: Tri-Burst Open Pore Matte A1.6TBOP
A new Tri-Burst Open Pore Matte is coming to Solar Guitars and launches on the A1.6TBOP
Get ready to ignite your playing with Solar Guitars’ latest masterpiece, the Type A1.6TBOP. It is available to preorder now and comes in a fetching Tri-Burst Open Pore Matte finish over a swamp ash body.
Tri-Burst Open Pore Matte
Ola Englund has been busy, and his Solar Guitars brand has just announced the preorder for the new Tri-Burst Open Pore Matte A1.6TBOP model. It is a stunning burst finish, and I like the open pore look on that swamp ash body.
Evertune
This shred machine comes with the Evertune constant-tension bridge, a reliable, fully mechanical system that keeps the guitar in tune under any circumstances, ensuring perfect pitch throughout your performance.
Powered by two Duncan Solar humbucking pickups, this guitar should deliver a full spectrum of tonal options, from organic clean to heavily overdriven, with fluid sustain and maximum clarity. I expect it to be perfect for high-gain lead work and chugging (of course). These are controlled by a master volume and tone control with five-way blade pickup switching.
Thru-Neck
The Type A1.6TBOP boasts a set-thru neck/body joint design, offering superior strength and stability while enhancing resonance and tone. That swamp ash body is paired with a fast, slim maple neck, which delivers smooth playability.
The ebony fretboard, adorned with 24 stainless steel super-jumbo frets, provides a smooth, dark surface that enhances tone and reduces friction. It has the Solar logo at the 12th fret, but apart from that, it is blank. However, the fretboard features Luminlay “glow in the dark” side dots for easy stage use.
Preorder
The Type A1.6TBOP is now available for preorder for $1,199. Shipping is expected to begin around 25 February 2025.
Solar has many new models appearing shortly after the NAMM show ( including the upgraded Solar Pyro Rojo and the AB6BC European Master Series), so it could be an excellent year for fans of the brand and anyone who likes shred-style high-performance guitars.
If you cannot wait, then Thomann carries Solar Guitars in Aged Natural with Evertune bridges.
