If you’re using a range of hardware instruments and effects in your music production workflow, a patchbay is the ideal tool to link everything and make it easily accessible, whether you use a DAW or not.

PBR TT LIT

The new flagship in the Black Lion Audio PBR LIT Patchbays range is the PBR TT LIT. This 96-point 2U bantam jack patchbay is equipped with a customizable LED screen to clearly label your inputs and outputs.

On the rear panel, the PBR TT LIT has 12 gold-plated D-Sub connectors for its inputs and outputs. This makes it ideal for interfacing with professional audio consoles, summing mixers, and digital converters.

Labeling your patch points is simple, just plug in a USB keyboard and you’re ready to go. Meanwhile, you can also install the included PatchCAD software to create the display template, and then export it via a USB drive.

PBR TRS3 LIT

A great choice for adding centralized routing to your home studio, the PBR TRS3 LIT is a 48-point 2U TRS patchbay. Like the TT LIT, one of its main features is the LED display for labeling all the hardware devices in your setup.

However, with more space, the PBR TRS3 LIT gives you up to 12 characters to label each channel, as opposed to the 6-character limit on the PBR TT LIT. The other main difference is that this version has individual TRS ports on the rear panel.

In addition, there are 24 normalization mode switches with half, thru, and full normalized modes. Overall, the PBR TRS3 LIT might cost a little more than you’d want to spend on a patchbay, but it more than makes up for it with its build quality and the convenience of its features.

Price: $399 MSRP
