Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, Billy Strings is one of the most intriguing artists on the music scene today. His new album, Highway Prayers, was released in the fall of 2020 and debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart – the first bluegrass album to achieve this distinction in 22 years. The artist has received numerous awards, including Best Bluegrass Album at the GRAMMYs and Artist of the Year at the Americana Music Awards. Known for his electrifying live performances, he continues to tour numerous cities.

Sonically, the D-28 features solid East Indian rosewood back and sides and a resonant spruce top that delivers rich lows and clear highs. With the same 25-inch scale length and custom nut width, it offers a player-friendly experience on par with its high-end sibling.
The solid spruce top and back and Brazilian rosewood sides deliver a powerful, resonant tone. Nickel open-gear tuners and an ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays give the D-X2E a classic touch, while Martin’s E1 electronics with built-in tuner make it perfect for the stage.
