EVH SA-126 Standard: Affordable Version of the Birthday Signature!

For Eddie’s 70th birthday, his guitar brand EVH introduces the SA-126 Standard, a slimmed-down version of his son Wolfgang’s latest signature guitar. Two higher-end models, the Wolfgang Special T.O.M. and the Wolfgang WG Standard T.O.M, are also available.
SA-126 Standard: Affordable Semi-Hollow Model
A year ago, EVH introduced a new signature guitar by Wolfgang for Eddie’s birthday: the SA-126. Semi-hollow, E-hole (in honor of Eddie), high-quality woods – the thing made a real impression! The new SA-126 Standard is the first Wolfgang signature guitar to be released at under €1,000.
Compared to the SA-126 Special, the SA-126 Standard uses the more affordable Nyatoh for the body (its predecessor was made of mahogany) and roasted maple for the neck (EVH Modified ‘C’ profile). The top and fretboard are made of the same woods as the original: maple for the top and rosewood for the fingerboard. 24.76-inch scale length, 12-16-inch compound radius, 22 jumbo frets – why change, what’s working?
The SA-126 Standard also features two EVH SA-126 humbuckers at the bridge and neck, each with separate volume and tone controls and a three-way switch. An EVH T.O.M bridge is used at the bridge, and the same Keystone tuners that were also used on the larger version. Two colors are available: Vintage White* and Wine Red*. Each model costs 779 euros at Thomann.
Wolfgang WG Standard T.O.M.: Now with a T.O.M. Hardtail Bridge
Like the SA-126 Standard, the Wolfgang WG Standard T.O.M. is also a more affordable EVH model. The series itself is not new, but now it gets the first model with the T.O.M. hardtail bridge, which we have seen on the EVH Star Limited Edition.
The model comes in Cream White with black hardware, a basswood body, a bolt-on maple neck (Wolfgang Backshape profile), and a roasted maple fretboard with black dot inlays and 22 jumbo frets. The dimensions are classic: 25.5‘ scale length, 12-16’ compound radius. It also features two direct-mount EVH Wolfgang humbuckers with a global volume and a tone control. The model is available for €589 at Thomann*.
Evh Wolfgang Special T.O.M – Oxblood, Husk White, and Gloss Black
The Wolfgang Special series offers slightly higher-priced models. These new guitars also feature the T.O.M. bridge. Three models are available in Oxblood* (with gold hardware!), Husk White*, and Gloss Black*. All three have very stylish binding—black on the white model and white on the black and red guitars.
Here, too, EVH relies on a basswood body, with a bolt-on neck (Wolfgang back shape profile) and a roasted maple fretboard, plus 22 jumbo frets on a 12-16 inch compound radius. These models also include two 2 Direct Mount EVH Wolfgang humbuckers. Each of the three guitars costs €1,169 at Thomann.

Give the guy a break… Why an E-hole and not a W-hole? Why Eddie’s birthday, doesn’t Wolfgang have his own? If they think he makes good music (and he does seem to), the greedhead moneybags should support him.
