NAMM 2016: Gallien-Krueger launch PLEX preamp/pedal
This new PLEX pedal from Gallien Krueger looks very interesting, obviously having been designed with bass players in mind. It features a 4-band EQ with contour control, selectable ‘Voicing Filters’, a compressor, a chromatic tuner and a boost. Phew.
The pedal also has Aux input and headphones output, which would make it really flexible for on the road, studio work or home. There is a direct XLR XLR output with a ground lift, as well as effects send and return loop. As if that weren’t enough, it even includes USB in/out for MIDI, recording into a computer and re-amping!
That is a hell of a lot packed into such a compact pedal. I look forward to checking out the reviews when people finally get their hands on this new unit. I have to add that from the photo on the GK Facebook page it looks to be really well laid out, and the build quality looks pretty stunning as well.
