The constant competition between natural sound and technical innovation gets a new impulse – or rather a new dimension – with the Aircore OWH by Movengine. These open Bluetooth headphones don’t want to compete with classic, bass-heavy mainstream headphones, but rather break with conventional norms. You can now pre-order these really cool looking headphones with impressive specifications in a Kickstarter campaign.

Aircore OWH: Open Sound with Style and High-End Fidelity

The developers of the Mevengine Aircore OWH deliberately chose an open design with a truly unusual hollow loudspeaker construction, which they claim produces a spacious sound that is more reminiscent of high-end speakers than conventional headphones. The Aircore OWH aims to achieve what many other devices can’t: an authentic spatial representation and a distortion-free, unfiltered reproduction of the original signal. And this sounds more than interesting!

The focus is less on technical showmanship and more on the sensory experience of listening. The proprietary AirCore Hollow Acoustic technology is designed to create an extremely natural sound field that preserves even the finest transients and makes the music seem to come from outside. Wow!

309 grams, 40 kHz, Low Latency, Perfect on Your Head

In combination with a wide frequency response of up to 40 kHz (!), the system is especially aimed at listeners who use high-resolution formats and want to enjoy the depth and spatial separation of their favorite productions. The sonic concept is clearly neutral, with no artificial treble boost or bloated bass – a clear counterpoint to the often artificially enhanced signature of many competing models.

In addition to Bluetooth 5.3 and a USB-C charging port, the Aircore OWH offers a mode switch, which can be selected via a hardware switch, to complement the open listening principle with a sealed sound chamber. This should be especially advantageous in noisy environments, without having to sacrifice the special character of the open design. According to the manufacturer, the closed mode is perfect for club and dance music, while the open mode is better for classical music and jazz. I will definitely have to try that out.

Aircore OWH: Bluetooth Headphones with a Sense of Space

In combination with “Smart Noise Detection”, the system can even automatically adapt to the environment. Obviously, this is a different kind of noise cancellation system. Exciting. The ergonomic design, which weighs only 309 grams, and the special construction allow long sessions without the usual fatigue of over-ear models and the familiar pressure points on the head and ears.

More Information

For sound enthusiasts who are tired of digital sound polishing and psychoacoustic embellishment, the Aircore OWH is a refreshing alternative, according to the manufacturer. This model invites you to rediscover music – not through gimmicks, but through space, openness and natural dynamics.

So if you are interested in a pure, spatial and deliberately unadulterated sound reproduction, you should give Movengine’s approach a try. Even though the direction remains clearly audiophile, the Aircore OWH should also provide exciting impulses for producers, sound designers and sound researchers. If you are interested, you should hurry, because the best offers of the Kickstarter campaign will be sold out soon.
